This week, Ubuntu Visions had the joy of visiting Brainy Birds, a dedicated non-profit animal welfare organisation based in Edenvale, Johannesburg. Home to over 300 rescued companion parrots, Brainy Birds provides a safe, nurturing environment where these intelligent and social birds can recover, heal, and live out their lives with respect and care.
Thanks to your monthly support, Ubuntu Visions donated parrot food, enrichment items, and cleaning supplies to help Brainy Birds continue their life-changing work. These aren’t just donations—they are tools of healing. Many of these birds have survived neglect, abuse, or abandonment, and now, because of your help, they’re receiving the love and care they deserve
Walking through Brainy Birds, it’s easy to see that this sanctuary is more than a shelter—it’s a home. Each chirp, squawk, and flap is a thank you. A sign of life continuing because someone—you—cared enough to make a difference. Your R100 monthly pledge helped feed a bird, clean a cage, or enrich a lonely parrot’s day.
